Brigham Young University 1984-1991 Dr. Molen attended BYU from 1984 to 1986 and then served an LDS mission to Oslo, Norway. He returned to BYU in 1988 after his mission. After taking the necessary pre-dental courses, Dr. Molen graduated from BYU in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Creighton University School of Dentistry 1991-1995 In 1991 he continued his education at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery, (DDS). While at Creighton University, Dr. Molen received several scholarships, graduated in the top 10 of his class and was on the Dean's List all four years. He is listed in the Who's Who in America Among Students and graduated with the class that scored the highest ever national ranking on part II of the national boards. As a senior, Dr. Molen was chosen by the Dean of Academic Affairs to tutor 10 other dental students. University of Illinois at Chicago Endodontic Specialty School 1995-1997 In 1995 after graduating from dental school, Dr. Molen was accepted to the University of Illinois at Chicago Endodontic program. During his two years at UIC, part of his schooling involved teaching the dental student labs and overseeing their clinic sessions with patients. Dr. Molen worked for two Chicago area dentists during this time performing endodontic treatment. Publications Dr. Molen's research while at UIC was published in the Journal of Endodontics. Jacobsen Journal of Endodontics December 1998 (Vol. 24, Issue 12, Pages 829-832) Volunteer Work Dr. Molen and his family have participated in the Light The Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every September a portion of every root canal is donated to a charity organization. We also support CureSearch in their efforts to find a cure for childhood cancer. |
